The Challenge

TikTok Transparency Forum is a quarterly event dedicated to addressing trust and safety issues on the app. It brings together TikTok experts and industry voices to discuss the ongoing efforts to make TikTok the safest platform for creative expression. TF needed a brand Identity that radiated the feeling of safety and approachability.

Creative Solution

With TikTok’s core branding still at the heart of the identity, everything beyond that was introduced like secondary colour palettes, layout structures and photography was selected carefully to support the big idea and reinstate the idea and feeling of trust and safety.

Colour Theory

TikTok's core colours we’re too bold for the narrative but with a bit of colour theory, I added a secondary colour palette, the first Sahara, a comforting yellow for happiness and warmth. And Cobalt Tint, a deep purple signifying power and knowledge. The also photography reflects what safety looks like on the app, regardless of age, ethnicity or sexuality. These choices establish expertise and shape narratives positively.

Flexible Grids

I integrated a versatile grid system that reflects the concept of a secure space for expressing concerns and provides a robust foundation for solutions. The grid system enable the smooth adjustment of both the pattern and content across a variety of formats and orientations.

Blending Design & Motion

I dived head first into Figma enabling me to design the livestream site's appearance. As well as this I collaborated with a Motion Designer to create three speaker introduction lower thirds.
